South Carolina ) In the year of Our Lord one Thousand Eight Hundred & Three Newberry District) December the 6th The last will and Testament of Jehu Inman late of the District aforesaid Deceased was Duly Executed in the Ordinaries Office approved and allowed of by the Oath of Joshua Inman Junr & was ordered to be Recorded. Also Henry Steddom & Samuel Milles named Executors in the _____ came into open court & was Duly qualified accordingly & obtained ?Letters? Testamentary Sam Gindsey O S D I Jehu Inman of the State of South Carolina and and Newberry District being weak in Body but in perfect mind & memory have thought fit to make ordain & by these presents doth make and ordain This my Last Will and Testament in manner & form as followeth that is to say first it is my Will and I do hereby Order that my Funeral Expenses and all my Just Debts be timely and punctually paid out of my movable Estate before any Divisions or Distribution be made thereof; Secondly it is my Will that my Wife Mary Inman have free priviledge of my home plantation where I now live during her natural life or Widowhood, and it is my Will and I do here by Order that all my moveable Estate be Sold without any appraisement as soon as Convenency will allow after my Decease and after paying my Debts 4th It is my Will that my Executors keep one fourth of my moveable Estate for the support of my aged Mother Jemime Inman to be Disposed of at their Discretion if any part should remain after her Decease it is my Will that it be added to my estate to be Divided as I shall hereafter Direct. 5th It is my Will that my wife Mary Inman have one third part of The Remainder of my moveable Estate at her Disposal Forever. 6 I give and Bequeath to my son Asa Inman the Remainder part of moveable property and all my Land to him and heirs and assigns Forever my Mary Inman not to be Interupted inpremises during her natural life or Widowhood after her Death or Marriage all to be Asa Inman and lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint my Trusty & well loved Friends Henry teddom and Samuel Miles to be my lawful Executors and I do utterly refuse Disanull Disalow and Revoke all Other or former Wills made By mee and in Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand seal This Twenty Ninth Day of the Eleventh Month Eighteen Hundred & Two Signed & acknowledged to in the presets of us. South Carolina ) By Samuel Lindsey Esquire Ordinary of the District aforesaid to all Newberry District ) whom have presents shall come greeting Know ye that on the Sixth Day of December in the year of Our Lord One thousand Eight Hundred and Three the Last Will & Testament of Jehu Inman Late of this Deceaseed was proved in open court and allowedBy the said court and the Adminstration of all and singular the goods and Chattels Rights and Credits of the Said Deceased within this State was therein granted and Committed by the Said Court unto Henry Steddom and Samuel Miles named Executors in the Said Will they being first duly sworn Will and faithfully to Administer and make a full and perfect Inventory of all and Singular the Said goods and Chattels, Rights and Credits & to distribute the Same Inventory Into The Ordinaries office of the District aforesaid in Order to be Recorded on or Before Ninety Days from this Date and to Render a True Calculation Reckoning Thereof whence there unto Required.
