    John Ryon (1748-1832) served as sergeant under Capt. Solomon Strong and Capt. Elisha Chapman, 1777-83. He received a pension in Pennsylvania, 1818, and his honorable discharge signed by Washington is filed with the application. He died in Tioga County, Pa.
