        Daughter of Daniel Clifton Baker and Elizabeth P. Pierce, his wife.
        Granddaughter of Benjamin Baker and Tabitha Clifton, his wife.
        Gr.-granddaughter of John Clifton and Tabitha, his wife.
    John Clifton, (1750-1802), served as a private in the Delaware militia. He was severely wounded
in the southern campaign and being disabled from further duty, was placed on the pension roll, 1785.
He was born in Ireland; died in Lewes, Delaware. His brothers Whittington and George also gave
service.
