Recruit signs with Purdue

Elisa Inman, a 6-2 senior forward from Wadsworth High School in Ohio, signed a national letter-of-intent to play for the Purdue women's basketball team beginning in the fall of 1999.

Inman is the first commitment the Boilermaker coaching staff, headed by Coach Carolyn Peck, has received from the class of 2003.

"I am so very happy that Elisa has decided to become a Boilermaker," Peck said. "She is a versatile player who can play both forward positions. Not only is she athletic, but she is a smart player who reads things well and has a tremendous understanding of the game. She chose Purdue because she really likes the players, and I know she will be a great addition to this program."

Inman averaged 16 points and 11 rebounds as a junior, leading Wadsworth to Ohio's Final Four. Wadsworth won a state title during Inman's sophomore year.

Inman selected Purdue over Michigan and Harvard and is rated the nation's 78th-best senior prospect by the Blue Star Index.
